I had been kept out of the kitchen for a while since it has so many dangerous items and breakable objects in cupboards. But mommy and daddy found some locks for the cabinets and we've managed to "Sophie-proof" the room. As a result, I've been playing there more often, sometimes when my parents are preparing dinner. I figured out how to move the chairs around. That's fun. I pushed the bar stools into a corner to make a cool fort and hid in there. I thought it was really funny. Especially when 'Nali tried to get in as well but couldn't! I tapped her nose playfully as she sniffed through the "bars" of my self made prison!
Then I discovered the joy that comes with popping bubble wrap! I stepped on it and it made a wonderfully satisfying sound. It is very pleasing to the soles of my feet. I kept playing with and laughing as daddy shot this video. Sorry its on its side- daddy messed up when using the camera. But it is so cute its worth the crick in your neck!

Kitchen's and bubble wrap- it doesn't get much better for a one year old- I am glad to see how much fun you're discovering. Love, Gran
bubble wrap is the BEST Soph, and so are kitchens-you will have many many good times in the kitchen as you learn to bake, start having homework, cook with Mom and Dad, and do science experiments with off food combos. I miss you and will have to figure out a time to come see you soon!
Love, Aunt Jenny
Soph- you're an Obama girl like your cousin Kate! It makes you both celebrities just like Obama- which means your smart, centered, well-liked, clever, a true leader, confident, recognized by others for your potential greatness!!
I am so glad that you have a moveable art studio- how lovely! And on top of that you can make music with the art of Bubble Stomping- it takes years of practice to make the sounds come together and you have already achieved symphony status i.e. it does not imply a specific form Bravo! Bravo!
