I Spy Animals!

This photo is just first of many all week long that came out of Thanksgiving.  Boppy and Dad-dad came to visit, then Gran and Ada and Unca Mike came.  I even got to see Granmimi and visit the new baby goats on the farm!  Its been a great week full of signing, dancing, baking, and playing and it will take dad a few days to get all the cool pictures and videos together.  Until then, enjoy this one of me reading with Boppy.  She got me this really cool book called "I Spy Animals" where I get to pick out animals in many famous art painting.  It is so fun, I want daddy to take me to an art museum soon so we can see more!

Thanks, Gran!

Gran got me this great owl dress a while back, but I had been strangely reluctant to wear it.  I guess I was just saving it for the right moment.  Mommy helped me match it with a fuscia turtleneck and some wonderful tights.  Denali liked it too.  I am known at school as one of the most fashionable children there!  Thanks, mommy!

Planting Bulbs

This weekend we had the best November weather EVER!!!  It was 70 and sunny and felt just like summer again.  We were very happy to spend all day outside working in the garden.  We raked, we mowed, we cleaned, we walked the puppies, but most of all we planted bulbs.  Almost 500 tulips and dafodils went into the ground around the house and garden.  Daddy dug the holes, mommy carefully arranged the bulbs in their homes, and I helped by putting dirt on top of the sleeping plants.  Check out these pictures!

After all this hard work, Daddy took me to a musical at the Englert- The Rainbow Fish.  It was awesome!  I sat through the enture hour show, no problem!!

Sophie's Plane

I am such a great traveler!  My parents did right by getting me onto airplanes from a really young age.  Did you know that I have already visited 3 foreign countries?  And 16 states?  Cool, huh?  When mommy and daddy came into my room at 4:30am on Friday am to leave for our trip to Pennslyvannia, I leaped out of bed and shouted, "we get to go on an airplane!"  No problem getting me up!  When we arrive at the airport, I don't want to wait for that bag checking and security stuff, I just want to get on my plane.  I immediately start asking, "where's Sophie's plane?  Where's Sophie's plane?"  When we find it, I can't sit still until we get on.  Then, I have so much fun with reading the in-flight magazine, playing with the window shade, looking at the safety card, and reading the books we brought, I hardly notice the time go by.  But my favorite thing to do on a plane is the same thing daddy always does- watch a movie.  We watch daddy's computer as it plays the adventures of Madeline, my Gallic alter-ego.

On this latested plane flight, one of my classmates, Reagan, was also on the plane.  We laughed and played until the plane took off and we started watching our movies.  Reagan watched Elmo, but I like Madeline better.

Halloween Day!

I had my first trick or treating exprience yesterday. It was AWESOME! I got to dress as a butterfly fairy and walk around my cousin's neighborhood in State College, PA. Laura was also a fairy, Harper went as Elmo, and little Kate was a cool dragon.

Halloween is such a great holiday! You go around to strangers houses, ring their door bell and they give you candy. What a great scam! I was a little nervous at first, so Laura showed me what to do. I soon figured out the rule about looking for lit porch lights. Once I got that part down, I was running to every house with a brightly lit porch. It was SO COOL!

I had a great time all weekend with my cousins and gran and mommy and daddy at our annua family reunion. But I will make another post about that
