Lakepointe in Bloom!

As the workmen hurry to finish Lakepointe before we move in next month, the garden is starting to bloom. The tulips are gorgeous! I planted them back in October and I think they turned out great! I can't wait to plant more this fall.

Here's the herb and veggie garden. The chives all have flower buds ready to pop, so they will be covered with pretty purple flowers within a week or two. Off to the right is some sort of flowering ground cover (flox?)

Not all the blooms in Lakepointe are outside; the tile layers finished a mural of cherry blossoms on mommy and daddy's bathroom wall. It looks great! We will be able to enjoy that view all year long!

In the Chive Field

We have started working on our garden! I helped mommy and daddy pull weeds, rake the soil, and plant the first section of our veggie gaden. Her I am tiptoeing throught the chives! I had a little trouble telling which plants mommy wanted me to pull up and which I was supposed to not touch. It was ver confusing for me. But when I was digging, I was really helping out- thanks to the Dora the Explorer garden trowel from Ada and Evie.
The garden is going to be great! We have snap peas, cucumber, zuchini, lettuce, leek, and lots of herbs. We planted dill, sage, majoram, tarragon, and rosemary. Those join the already-naturalized bushes of oregano, fields of thyme, and the waist-high chives you see in the picture!

Pandas Eat Bamboo

I called Daddy at mid-day today when he was at his meeting and said, "Pandas eat bamboo!" I was on my way back from the zoo, where I had watched the pandas for 45 minutes! They were very close to the fence so I got a good look at them .
Thank you, Gran, fot taking me to the zoo! I was much more interested in the animals this time compared to before!

This is Lilly, a new friend. She is from China, but lives in Canada. She speaks Chinese, but it didn't matter- we played and laughed and climbed on everything!

This is so cool- they had a cable suspended over the walkway so that the orangatangs could climb from one enclosure to the other. Amazing! They were right overhead! I learned a new word today: orangatang!

Sophie Goes to Washington

Daddy had a meeting in Washington so his ER friends could lobby congress for more help for emergency patients. I think that's really cool. So I went along to keep him company. We met up with Gran at the airport in DC and she stayed with us for the three days.

On the flight to DC, Daddy and I had our own row of seats in the back of the plane. I made myself comfortable before takeoff!

Here I am in Cincinnati's showing off "Sophie's Plane!"

Dinner at the airport- I ate an entire cheese pizza!

Here we are lounging at the hotel after our trip. We called mommy back home as we cuddled and watched football on TV. Daddy is the coolest!

Oops- forgot to finish Atlantis

Daddy got busy and forgot to upload the rest of the Atlantis photos. So here's some of the remainders. I wanted to show you pictures of me playing with my cousins Harper and Laura. They are so much fun! I miss them very much and frequently ask to play with Harper again!
Cousins rule!

Fun hiding under the crib!

lunch time snacks- we were full of giggles!

Yay Gran!

Dinner Part 2

To celebrate daddy and Uncle Kurt's birthday, the adults went to Nobu after my cousins and I went to sleep. Here is the big platter of sushi they inhaled!

Our "queens"!
The women in our family are so beautiful! I am so lucky to get such great genes!
