Merry Christas Eve!

We had a mini-Christmas celebration today. Mommy made wonderful Cornish Game Hens with red pepper glaze and mashed parsnips. My parents ate that while I munched on fresh pears and turkey. Yum!

We opened a few presents before daddy had to go to work, so we can open the rest with GranMimi tomorrow. Daddy gave mommy a beautiful owl pendant and an airline ticket to New Orleans/Dallas to see the Turner paintings exhibit! Best of all, I get to go with daddy and mommy on the trip in early March. Mommy gave daddy a really cool watch that finds stars and a home planetarium for using in my room! She also gave him a case of the best 2004 Napa Cabs. Some of them are so good that they'll still be drinkable for my sweet sixteen party!

I got some good books, including two about owls. I also got a set of stuffed animals that have very tasty tassels I can chew on. And Boppy gave me a really cool push toy that I will use when I can walk.

Daddy went to work in the ER now, but we'll open GranMimi's presents and all the stockings tomorrow (and Gran's presents Jan 3rd when she visits next). Thanks to mother nature and her foot of snow on Saturday night, I'll wake up to a White Christmas in the morning!

Merry Christmas, Sophie. Your the best gift ever- we all love you and look forward to sharing many special times and experiences with you. As the future Christmases go by it will be a joy to watch you grow into the amazing person you'll become.

I like the gifts your family have opened this year so far- they reveal the sensitivity of your parents and their various passions -great art, heavenly stars and you. With all my love, Gran

Hi Sophie,
Merry First Christmas! What a beautiful setting for your very special Christmas celebration - I have been saving one of my favorites for today and how appropriate that you would have snow:
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
Where the treetops glisten,
and children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow

ding, ding , ding!

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white

Ada wishes you the best of Christmas-
Love, Peace and Joy
