I tasted my first solid food this week! Mommy and Gran offered me a thin rice cereal on Wednesday and I actually ate a couple of bites. It was very exciting! And tonight daddy fed me about a dozen bites. It went really well, but I still prefer breast milk.
I had grown increasing frustrated watching mommy and daddy eat their dinners right in front of me. Can you imagine the nerve of these people? What a tease! I watched them eat bite after bite and followed the food from the plate to their mouths. It got so frustrating I reached out for their food just to clue them in that I want some too! Although I will be happy to enjoy breast milk for a while more, my parents have assured me that new things are coming in a few weeks: peas, yams, and even applesauce. COOL!
Also: Due to popular request from Aunt Ada's students, I have agreed to add another team to my favorites list.

The Nittany Lions are so very happy that you have added them to your list of favorites! My students will be thrilled- audience connection in writing is essential.
It looks like eating solids is a big hit- what a happy face you have taking a bite of rice.
I will send you my special applesauce recipe (your dad and Uncle Michael called apple juice and sauce apple boo boo).
A new generation of apple boo boo eaters have joined the ranks.
Absolutely fabulous blog and photos; family camp was well covered but the image of you tasting real food harolds gourmet things to come- what fun we'll have eating well. love, gran
