Pictures from Boppy and Grandad's Visit

Boppy and I collected leaves on a walk near our house

I love trees! Zoom in on my face- the expression is classic!

A wonderful autumn dinner!

Thank you, Boppy, for sending these!

Love the picture of you and Granddad- you're right the expression on your face is priceless.
I know how much you love trees and I have been thinking about tree poems and songs to share with you.
I think we should start (in the words of Marie - Sound of Music) at the very beginning with what is a famous and simply poem that children learn about trees.
It was written by Joyce Kilmer (1913) and is reflective of the time period: The first two lines will be standard and Ada will change the last two lines of the poem especially for you.

I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree

Poems are written for everyone
But only those with Sophie's spirit can truly see
how lovely is a tree.

Enjoy the colors of the fall this is truly your season Sophie.
