Christmas Party

On Christmas Eve, we decorated the house and spent the day cooking yummy food.  We had a plate of cheeses, including the greatest cheese of all- bucheron.  I helped Grammie prepare melon and prosciutto- pig never tasted so good!  We also had a stew called "cassolet".  Julia Child says that this special dish should be made over a period of three long days, but mommy and daddy pulled it off in 6 hours with a slow cooker.  I dont know what Julia's cassolet tastes like, but my parent's version was really yummy.

I selected a luxurious velvet and satin party gown for the event, and ran around skipping and singing I was so excited.  But then I crashed.  Without prompting, I climbed onto the couch and fell sound asleep.  I didn't even notice when Grandmimi arrived.  She brought presents for me and more good food.  After a sumptous meal, we sat down and opened the presents.  What a night!

The next morning, I walked down the stairs to discover that Santa had come and filled our stockings.  He also left out an art easel, a sled, and a Barbie laptop computer for me.  Then we opened more presents!  Thank you to everyone for all the cool toys I got!  You can come over and help me play with them anytime!
