A Few Good Milestones

Last week, we made a couple of major changes to the house.  We finally got the cool new barstools we had been waiting three months for, and we switched out my high chair for a barstool with a booster seat.  Very cool!  Gran toasted me on my success at eating like a big girl!
Also, mommy and daddy took the side panel off my crib, turning it into a big girl bed with a rail.  I can get in and out of it at my choice!  Although daddy was afraid I would run all over the place all night with this new found freedom, quite the opposite happened.  Blessed with the honor of being a big girl, I am more calm at bedtime, happy to crawl into the bed on my own, clutching a book in one hand and a blanket in the other.
And finally, my cusine choices are exanding, including sushi!  I love sushi!  In fact, I asked for it by name last week.  I really like eel and tuna, but I will eat salmon and california rolls and seaweed, too!

I am so pleased to see the evidence of your maturation hit the blog-a-sphere. I was indeed impressed with how much independence you were demonstrating and how cooly you accepted the accompanying responsibilities. BEST OF ALAL is the sushi- Gran has another sushi buddy. I look forward to seeing you in a few weeks and sharing at elast one sushi dinner. Love, gran

Hi Sophie,
A big girl bed! How fun to be able to crawl into your own bed at will- certainly a sign that you are a big girl. I also love sushi- it must be a family thing. Can't wait to se you in October.
