Merry Christmas, everyone! Here's our craft-filled tree
Here's me suggling with a new teddy bear from dad while Skye gives me a playful kiss
I think daddy makes a good present!
We celebrated my second ever Christmas at home in Iowa yesterday. It was a picture-perfect white Christmas, hushed by a fresh dusting of new snow. Grammie and Grandad Chang are staying with us, and Grandmimi, Pam, and Aunt Jenny came over in time for dinner.
Here's the photos of dinner, which I missed because I was too tired. I am told that the smoked turkey, root vegetables, pear salad, fruit and nut stuffing, and cranberry sauce was all wonderful. And paired well wih the 2005 Frank Family Chardonnary and 2003 Acacia Pinot Noir. Yum!

Dear Sophie,
I so enjoyed my Christmas visit to your house and being able to see your wonderful Christmas tree that was truly one of a kind- I know that you and Gran had a great deal of fun decorating it.
I loved watching you do your snowman dance and I am so excited that you got a trike from Santa. I know Aunt Jenny, Granmimi, Pam and Grandma and Grandpa Chang are having as much fun with you as Gran and I did.
In honor of your Snowman Dance I am adding a special song to your play list- have your Mom and Dad and Aunt Jenny sing it for you so you can dance!
Frosty the Snowman
Was a jolly happy soul
With a corncob pipe and a button nose
And two eyes made out of coal
Frosty the Snowman
Is a fairytale they say
He was made of snow
But the children know
How he came to life one day
There must have been some magic
In that old silk hat they found
For when they placed it on his head
He began to dance around
Frosty the Snowman
Was alive as he could be
And the children say
He could laugh and play
Just the same as you and me
Frosty the Snowman
Knew the sun was hot that day
So he said let's run
And we'll have some fun
Now before I melt away
Down to the village
With a broomstick in his hand
Running here and there all around the square
Saying catch me if you can
He led them down the streets of town
Right to the traffic cop
And he only paused a moment when
He heard him holler stop
Frosty the Snowman
Had to hurry on his way
But he waved goodbye
Saying don't you cry
I'll be back again some day
Thumpety thump thump
Thumpety thump thump
Look at Frosty go
Thumpety thump thump
Thumpety thump thump
Over the hills of snow
Soph, it was so fun to celebrate Christmas with you-and to play with all your new toys and books! I will come visit again soon. Love, Auntie Jenny
Dear Sophie,
Your Christmas looks perfect. Thanks for letting me help create your craft tree- it was soo much fun. I hope you are enjoying your trike and I look forward to watching you ride. I think it was funny that you decorated your Dad! Love, Gran
