We celebrated my first Indedendence Day yesterday. I got to wear a special star-studded onezie as we went to Granmimi's farm for a wonderful barbeque and party. Daddy flipped his special onion-mix burgers over a super-hot grill. Granmimi put all the baby goats in the outdoor pen so the children visiting the farm could feed and pet them. Daddy's residents and students came and brought their children. I got to see my "twin", Soren. He was born just 3 hours before me in the next room at the maternity ward! Cool, huh?
Afterwards, we went home to meet Uncle Kevin as he arrived from Los Angeles. Daddy and Kevin and Kendall walked to park to watch the firworks. Mommy says I can go next year. I hope so!

You are a star! I understand that the fireworks were in honor of you :)

Your independence day photo is your best yet! Love, Gran
Given that this is your first Independence Day (let the next revolution begin)it seemed only appropriate for one of the leaders of the children's revolution to make her Bill of Rights known
Sophie's Declaration...
Article One:
That all babies are by nature equally free and independent therefore having certain inherent rights among them being:
A right to eat and sleep as She sees fit;
A right to have one's furry sisters at her side at all times;
A right to have her parents understand that all that matters from this day forward is YOU;
A right to be dressed in bold colors and prints;
A right to have her parents and family verbalize that she is the cutest baby ever;
A right to be taken for long walks in her own Sophiemobile;and
A right to her own blog.
Given the fact that such rights are God given (just ask Aunt Jenny)- once you enter the state of family they (said family) cannot by any compact deprive or divest any of the stated rights and must spend the rest of their days namely enjoying Sophie's life, her liberty and her pursuit of happiness.
