Daffodils!

 Our daffodil are out and they peaked late last week!  They are so beautiful!  They are daddy's favorite flower, but I like them very much, too!

 But then we had a late snowstorm on Saturday!  On April 16th!

The snow was gone by the afternoon, but we got a little reminder of winter.  I thought the daffodils would be devistated, but they're mostly OK.  The magnolia blooms vanished, however,  Oh well.  The tulips are beginning to bloom so I'll write again when we have pictures of those!

Lincoln Park Zoo

 Last weekend, mommy and daddy went to Chicago for some shopping and took me along.  Daddy and I went to the Lincoln Park zoo.  Very cool! Here I am on the carousel.

 These pictures are really cool, but need a little explanation.  There was a bear at the zoo sitting in his den.  The back of the den has a plexiglass wall, and we could go right up to the wall.  Daddy took a picture of the bear, getting us in the reflection!

The zoo also had a kiddie train that I just had to ride . . . twice. 

 Back home, I was happy to see my puppies again!

Exhasted from the trip, I passed out on the couch.  And Skye jumped onto the couch to watch over me.  This is really significant- Skye has not gotten onto the couch without help in over a year.  But I was worth jumping up there for.  Interesting.

Back home in Iowa City, mommy took me to the Tri-Delt easter egg hunt.  I found plastic eggs with chocolate inside!  yum!

Having a Great Time at the Gym

Yesterday, right before a gigantic thunderstorm, we had a few hours of summer-like weather.  It got up to 80 degrees!  Mommy, daddy and I got on our bikes and we went for a short ride.  Well, mommy and daddy did- I was so comfy in the bike buggy I fell asleep right away! 

Prior this glorious outdoor adventure, all of my recent athetlics have been relegated to inside thanks to the brisk Iowa March weather.  Here's some photos from some of my recent exploits!
