Bloomsbury Farms

Reagan's mom had the great idea to go to Bloomsbury Farms, a pumpkin patch and corn maze near Cedar Rapids.  It was great to see Reagan and my other friend Edison again.  We played all day and I had so much fun!

They had a giant pit full of corn kernels.  Amazing!

Here's me and Edison and Reagan getting lost in the corn maze

I wanted to ride the horse but daddy insisted I only sit in the sled.

I want the gatorade!  No!  I want it, No! I want it!

This was a giant jumping trampoline!  Reagan and I could do that for hours!

We had a moster of a good time!

Cool tire hideout!

Great idea for a outing, Reagan!

Look!  I can make a corn angel!

Minnesota!

I had a great time in Minnesota last weekend.  Here's some photos from our trip!

Our first stop was Omaha, Nebraska so daddy could attend a meeting.  While he was stuck in his boring medical meeting, Granmimi and I went to the Omaha zoo.  What a great place!  Here's the playground.

 I see you!

They have a really cool merry-go-round and I got to ride a rooster!

My favorite part was the train.  On the trip we passed by the elephants.  I have an elephant on my shirt for the occasion!

Next, we drove to Minnesota.  I watched Shrek and Ratatouille on the way, snacking on cheerios!

In Minneapolis, Aunt Jenny showed us to the Hennepin County Library, which has a totally amazing children's room.

Daddy and I read together.  It was a pretty book called the "Littlest Snowflake".  Then daddy, dad-dad, Boppy, Unca Mike, and Aunt Jenny all went to the USC- Minnesota football game. . .  .

. . .  But mommy, Granmimi, and I went to the Mall of America.  We visited a mirror maze and the aquarium, where I bought a book on sharks and a pretty stuffed animal poodle.  I struggled with naming her, considering Fifi among others, but we settled on Sophi-AAHH.

After the game and the mall, we all got together for a pasta dinner.

And breakfast the next morning- YUM!

Best of all, I got to play with my cousin, Kate!  She is so funny!

The Alphabet Blues

Daddy has a great ap on his phone that lets me play the Blues Guitar.  I love it!  As daddy and Granmimi and I were driving to Minnesota on Friday, I starting playing the ap.  Then I sang the alphabet song along to the blues rift.  Very funny!  Here's a sample of my blues ability . . .

Fun with Uncle Kurt and Aunt Joyce

On their drive out to California Aunt Joyce and Uncle Kurt stopped in Iowa for a couple of nights.  Here are some pictures from their visit.

It was the first time that they had seen Granmimni in a couple of years!  They loved visiting the farm

It was a perfect warm late summer day

Come on, Uncle Kurt!  Lets go play!

Here I am with Finn the sheep

Here I am with daddy and Finn.  Isn't he cute?  We also played with Annie the goat, of course

Dinner at Orchard Green, my favorite place!  Daddy and Joyce enjoying a bottle of Stag's Leap cab.  They said is was yummy, and I got to have the cork

Good luck in Napa, California aunt and uncle!!

First Football Game

Daddy and I went to my first football game yesterday!  Iowa vs Eastern Illinois.  It was awesome

We started the day with Game Day Pancakes, of course!  They were yummy.  Do you like my Stanford hat? That's mommy's school!

We rode the train to the game.  We picked up the train near Grammie's new townhouse in Coralville- parked there and walked to the train.  Then we got on, sat in the top part on a daddy-Sophie seat.  It was fun!

We sat in our seats for the game.  I couldn't see much because all the hawkeye fans were standing and cheering the whole time.  We ate a pretzel, stawberry lemonade, and water.

After the game, we took the train back home with one tired daddy and one happy Sophie.  All the other Hawkeye fans were tried, but happy since they won 37 -7.  Penn State comes to visit in a few weeks- GO HAWKS!

First, however, we are going to Minneapolis to see USC vs Minnesota and play with Aunt Jenny, Unca Mike, Dad-dad, Boppy, mommy, and GranMimi!
