Maifest 2012

Daddy, Grammie and I went to Maifest today at the Amana colonies. It was very cool! I heard live polka music, watched maypole dancing, built a wooden toy, went for carriage and pony rides, and got my face painted. It was awesome! Here are some pics

San Antonio

Daddy and I are in San Antonio, TX for a meeting of the Texas College of Emergency Physicians. It's his first visit here and it's mine too! It's a really cool place- dad says that it reminds him of Santa Fe mixed with New Orleans. Here are some photos:

Happy Spring!

It has been an amazing and super early Spring. The tulips are blooming, the garden is a full month ahead of schedule, and Gran is staying with us for 3 weeks! Here's a few random cute photos I have to share.

Sophie in the Big Apple

Daddy came to New York City to visit a residency program on Staten Island and Gran and I got to tag along! While he worked, we went to the Met and I LOVED seeing all the Egyptian stuff. My ancient Egyptian personality is definitely Hatshutsup!

Spring Break

 I had an amazing Spring Break!  After three weeks on the road, the family was finally home for the week.  Since I didn't have school, I got to hang out with daddy a lot!  I went to gymnastics camp during the day and played with daddy in the afternoons.  I also got to help out at mommy and daddy's work:

 I was really good at collecting the lecture materials for daddy's students!

 Daddy got us tickets for the NIT basketball game between the Hawkeyes and the Dayton Flyers.  It was very loud in there as the Hawks actually won!

 I started to get bored with the game so I just sat back and watched a movie! 

On Friday, we went to park to enjoy the warm weather even though it was mid March! 

At the medical school's match day I got sit at the kids table.  There was lots of candy and chocolate, so it was Ok with me!  Daddy's students found out where they would be doing their specialty training- its a really big deal!

Our garden is beautiful!

Here's a video of me and my friend Reagan at gymnastic class.  I can do a roll on the bar really well but I can't stay on.  Daddy can be heard encouraging Reagan to climb up on the bar.

Two Disneys, part 2

Here's a few more photos from our visit to Disneyworld. Today, mommy joined us for the whole day at EPCOT! They were getting ready for their annual flower and garden show, and the park was full of flowers and topiary.

Big news again! I made it to Disneyland AND Disneyworld in the SAME week! That's a once in a lifetime opportunity that Daddy and I just couldn't pass up. mommy is here for the ACGME conference so we tagged along.
